I remember how vulnerable and angry I felt when it happened to me. I was stalked, threatened, and extorted online, all by an anonymous source.

I didn’t tell anyone at first, because I prided myself on being strong and independent. Then things got worse. Only after countless Google searches--and help from a great psychologist--did I start to regain control of my life.

That’s why I started Online SOS as a nonprofit. I’m committed to creating a safe haven for people who are targeted and threatened online.

Thanks to those who worked tirelessly over the past decade to bring this issue to light, our society now sees online harassment for the serious threat that it is.
